Fundraising

As a charity, fundraising is vital to enable us to continue supporting those in need.  You can help The Cowshed by organising your own fundraising activities.  Whether you are an individual, a group of friends, a business, a school, a church or any other organisation, there are so many creative ways in which you can take part in an activity, a challenge or an event and have fun whilst raising much needed funds!

Here are just a few ideas:

Sporting and Physical Challenges

You can take on a physical challenge to raise money, such as entering a run, taking part in a hike , cycling or walking a long distance.  Set your own personal target and get your friends and family to sponsor you.

Host an event or party

Host a party or an event and ask those coming along to make a donation.  Social fundraising is a great way to bring people together so whether it’s a charity dinner, a golf day, a concert or a garden party, you can guarantee fun for all!

Bake sale

You can bake some cakes and sell them to friends, family and colleagues.  If you are part of an organisation, you could join in with others to bake and donate cakes and hold a coffee morning or bake sale.

Raffle

Gather together some prizes and sell raffle tickets to raise funds.

Quiz

Host a quiz night in a local pub or community hall –everyone loves the challenge of a quiz!

Unique challenges and activities

If you have something that you love doing, why not turn it into an opportunity to fundraise for The Cowshed.  Some of our wonderful supporters have taken part in open water swimming challenges, held sewing and craft social events, and yoga events.

Community Events

If you are part of a membership group, such as a sports club, a church/faith group or a school/university, Scouts and Girlguiding, rotary or women’s institute, you can help by organising a donation drive or holding an event.
