How to Get Support
If you’re going through a tough time and need clothing or other essentials, The Cowshed is here to help. Our charity is dedicated to offering free assistance to people of all backgrounds during times of crisis.
We understand that asking for help can be difficult, so we strive to offer compassionate care to everyone who reaches out to us. Our clothing donations come from various sources, and we take great care to ensure that they are of the highest quality for our clients. We also offer support with baby equipment, school uniforms, toiletries, sanitary products, prom outfits, curtains, bedding, towels, and bras.
To receive our support, you’ll need a referral from a professional or organisation such as social services, health professionals, schools, religious organisations, charities, the Citizens Advice Bureau, Foodbanks, Jobcentre, or refugee organisations. Once we receive your referral, we’ll discuss your preferences and needs with you to tailor our support to your unique situation. While we can only offer one-time support to adults in need, we can provide further support to children after six months.
We recognise that ongoing support can be crucial during difficult times, so we can connect you with other organisations or resources in the community that may be better suited to meet your ongoing needs. If you need support with getting a referral or more information on how we can help you, please contact us. We’re here to provide you with a helping hand and a friendly smile.
